About
This sculpture is named after Black Mountain that overlooks Canberra City. It's simple and synthetic from a sculptural point of view; however, it evokes the feeling of stratum and landform.
The artist, Paul Selwood, lives and works in Wollombi, NSW. His long, successful career continues to define him as a respected Australian sculptor. Paul’s way of working, like many artists, is dominated by intuitive decisions based around material, space, and practicality. Since 1971, Paul has held over 30 exhibitions. Now strategically located, this piece has its inspiration as the backdrop on the horizon.
