The design of the Denman Village Shops was unveiled on 14 June with an event held at the construction site to mark the occasion.

Due to open in the second half of 2018, the Denman Village Shops will feature up to 15 specialty shops including a supermarket, cafés, a stand-alone medical precinct, chemist and 12 two and three-bedroom town houses above the retail space with stunning views overlooking the Molonglo Valley from the corner of Felstead Vista and Holborow Avenue.

Capital Airport Group’s Managing Director, Stephen Byron, said the shopping village will give the residents of Denman Prospect and surrounding areas of the Molonglo Valley a range of shopping and leisure opportunities.

“We’re bringing the shops on early in the development to provide this vital amenity not only for Denman Prospect residents, but those people in the surrounding suburbs of Wright and Coombs,” said Mr Byron. “It is the local shops they’ve been crying out for – and we’re delivering it.”

Soon, residents will be able to walk down, ride their bike or drop in on their way home and park at the front door thanks to an abundance of car parks.

“Whether it’s to grab some bread and milk, to visit the hairdresser or grab a coffee at the café, you won’t have any trouble finding a spot,” said Mr Byron.

There are over 160 houses currently under construction with approximately 10 families already calling Denman Prospect ‘home’.
